Walt Disney World 2015 Ticket Prices

Magic BandsTicket pricing for Walt Disney World is another area where people can sometimes get confused. It’s actually quite simple. The more days worth of base tickets you purchase, the cheaper each day is. Well, here’s how it works.

If you are only purchasing a 1 day ticket, you must choose between Magic Kingdom or one of Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom. Children under the age of 3 (up to 2 years, 364 days) are admitted free of charge.

For multiple-day tickets, you can choose 1 park per day – either Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, or Animal Kingdom. I’ve added the cost per day and total savings to the chart so you can see what you are getting for your money. By the time you get past 4 days, you’re only paying $10 more per extra day!

Now come the options, and this is where people really get confused.

Park HopperPark Passes

Park Hopper lets you go to any combination of the 4 big parks you want on the same day. For example, if you wanted to catch the opening show at Magic Kingdom, then dine at Restaurantosaurus in Animal Kingdom for lunch, then head over to Epcot to see Illuminations, you could totally do that (although you’d waste so much time traveling that I wouldn’t suggest it).

To add Park Hopper to any ticket that is 3 days or less will add $50 to the price of your tickets. That is for the duration of your tickets – not per day. To add Park Hopper to tickets for 4 days or more will add $64 to your total.

Water Park Fun & More

This option lets you visit Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest, Oak Trail Golf Course or either of the Miniature Golf parks the same number of days as your park tickets. If you bought a 4-day ticket and added this option, you would be able to choose 4 admissions to the following: Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, DisneyQuest, Oak Trail Golf Course or either Miniature Golf park on each day. The way it works is you get 4 total admissions, so you could choose Blizzard Beach, Disney Quest, 1 Miniature Golf, and Typhoon Lagoon, or you could use all 4 at DisneyQuest. How you use the 4 is up to you. The pricing is the same regardless of how long your tickets are for – $64.

Park Hopper AND Water Park Fun & More

This is where the fun really happens! With this option, you can pretty much do as you please. You can visit any of the 4 big parks, any time you like during your trip, and you get the number of admissions to the water parks, Oak Trail Golf Course, DisneyQuest, and either of the Miniature Golf parks that equal the length of your tickets. Just like the name suggests, it combines Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More, but gives a slight price break for getting both. The price is $90 for however many days your park tickets are good for.

Water Park Only Tickets

You can purchase 1-day tickets with no blockout dates or save some money by purchasing a 1-Day Seasonal Water Park Ticket that is valid any day except May 23, 2015-August 30, 2015.

All tickets provide 1-day of admission, but if both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are open, you can travel between them as you please.

Just as with the major parks, children under 3 are admitted free.

Discounted Tickets

There are discounted tickets available for some – through their jobs, the military, or other special circumstances. AAA no longer has a relationship with Disney, so they are only able to offer tickets at the standard prices. I would highly advise AGAINST purchasing tickets on eBay or Craigslist because tickets are linked to specific people upon purchase, and the chances of you getting valid tickets are very slim.

The ONLY reliable source for discount tickets that I have ever heard of (and I’ve only heard good things) is Undercover Tourist.
